Als PR & Digital Communication Consultant bij Weber Shandwick Nederland werk je – in geïntegreerde teams – voor meerdere merken aan interessante PR & communicatie opdrachten. Als internationaal en full-service PR- en communicatieadviesbureau helpen we onze klanten merkreputaties te bouwen en ondersteunen we hen met online en offline communicatie op zowel merk- als productniveau. Wat breng je mee?

  • HBO en/of WO denkniveau
  • Je hebt een paar jaar ervaring in PR en/of digital
  • Ervaring aan bureauzijde en/of journalistiek is een sterke pré
  • Je hebt in het verleden ervaring opgedaan met mediabenadering en hebt een medianetwerk opgebouwd.
  • Je bent goed op de hoogte van de online en social mogelijkheden voor merken en volgt media en influencers op de voet. Je analyseert culturele ontwikkelingen, trends in de verschillende sectoren en herkent kwesties die direct en indirect van invloed kunnen zijn op jouw klanten
  • Ervaring met het gebruiken van social media tools en de Business Managers van deze tools (voornamelijk META en LinkedIn) is een pré
  • Uitstekende communicatieve (schriftelijk en mondeling) en organisatorische vaardigheden
  • Nederlands als moedertaal en goed zakelijk Engels (schrijven en spreken) zijn een must

Job description:

  • Generates story ideas and drafts media materials (e.g., media lists, written content, pitches and pitching reports), conducts outreach, and manages reporter/influencer relationships and media opportunities to land coverage
  • Researches media topics, trends, important issues, and reporters in support of new assignments and projects, including new business opportunities
  • Attends client events and manages on-site media and influencers at local and national events
  • Maintains a keen interest in current news and industry trends; proactively shares insights with teams and clients to inform plans, strategies and activations
  • Anticipates and proactively offers solutions to senior team leadership for executional issues specific to assigned programs
  • Assists with client communication and manages detailed tasks with the account and earned media teams
  • Develops and manages project timelines and weekly action plans to ensure all deadlines on client programs are met
  • Identifies the development needs of junior staff and provides opportunities which allow staff members to reach their full potential

 

Requirements:

  • 2 or more years’ experience in public relations at an agency or corporate in-house (healthcare experience preferred)
  • Experience and interest in working with healthcare clients across industries
  • Excellent communication/presentation skills; verbal and written
  • Strong attention to detail and project management skills
  • Ability to multi-task effectively and work within tight deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

About the opportunity: 

We are looking for an experienced, passionate, and extremely people-focused HR practitioner who thrives in a fast-moving, highly energetic environment for this 12 month fixed term contract. This role demands a personality that is comfortable to engage and partner with leadership, and that can connect with employees across all levels of the business.  The Senior HR Business Partner will have oversight of every aspect of our HR and Talent function – a role which demands both strong human resources acumen and a “change agent” mindset to continuously evolve and enhance existing HR processes and systems.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Play a lead role in building and developing a solid Human Resources and Talent team and function in Japan by driving change through process improvement and a forward-thinking approach.
  • Ensure full compliance of all HR policies, and legal requirements within Japan market regulations
  • Partner closely with the business to ensure solid talent retention programs are in place, bringing an innovative approach to staff career development and incentive programs – integrating the activities with L&D to support development of career paths within the businesses
  • Lead the Talent Acquisition function, driving an effective and efficient recruitment process, with the use of the Greenhouse ATS.
  • Take ownership and manage the performance review process across the agency (with support of the team)
  • Address staff performance issues across the businesses as required, minimizing terminations and legal exposure wherever possible
  • Ensure relevant Japan market data on remuneration is systematically collected and used to build reliable compensation models for all levels of employees
  • Collaborate on global and regional team activities in areas of recognition and reward strategies, and initiate motivational programs for employees
  • Build and lead initiatives to enhance employee experience in collaboration with Japan leadership team
  • You will be partnering with the Japan leadership team and have a strong voice in collaboration with other senior leaders, including the Managing Director and Finance Director, as well as all practice leaders
  • You’ll partner closely with APAC regional HR and Talent Acquisition leads, with regards to global and regional initiatives, policies, procedures, and requirements

 

PERSON PROFILE

  • Proven background in Human Resources in the Japanese market, with the ability to provide timely strategic counsel, while taking a long-term perspective.
  • Able to dive in operationally as and when needed, including providing guidance on Japanese Labour Law
  • Proven ability to hire and develop an on-the-ground strong team encompassing the full human resource employee cycle
  • Willing and able to work closely with the MD and FD to align on business priorities and map back with HR strategies
  • Ability to grasp issues and business realities quickly and establish a rapport with stakeholders at all levels, managing complex relationships diplomatically and consultatively
  • Confident and clear communicator, native in Japanese with strong English language skills and the ability to work across markets as needed
  • Ability to manage teams and individuals and provide them with the support that encourages and enables them to perform to their fullest potential
  • You have exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrable record of building relationships internally with peers, team members and the wider business
  • You’re able to prioritize and organize your workload effectively, within a deadline-driven and changing environment, using initiative to make decisions in complex situation

About the Role

Weber Shandwick is seeking a talented Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Washington, DC.  You will be joining a team of business strategists, data scientists and data engineers to build innovative data solutions and would work at the intersection of Data Engineering and Applied Generative AI. 

The Senior Data Engineer will design, build, test, implement and maintain data solutions that support clients’ Enterprise Analytics. Key Responsibilities

  • Data Engineering:

  • Proficiency coding in Python for data processing, automation, and AI/ML workflows.
  • Advanced SQL skills for complex data manipulation, optimization, and analytics.
  • Knowledge of orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, Prefect).
  • Experience developing sophisticated data pipelines using AWS EMR, Apache Spark, etc.

What You Will Be Doing:

We are seeking a Manager, Client Experience who is passionate about healthcare and making a difference in the lives of patients living with various diseases and conditions. As a Manager, you will work across several teams, serving as a key client contact and overseeing the success of various client program and day-to-day work.
