We are seeking a Senior Manager, Resource Management to support our NY office . They will report in through the RM capability and partner with our NA Agency Operations team to utilize the established RM tools and processes to effectively and efficiently identify resourcing solutions and needs across the business unit.

Work (expertise & application)

– 6+ years of experience in resource management, project management, or related field (preferably in an agency setting)

-Supports senior team members by motivating and directing junior team members, escalating issues upward as needed

-Supports account & client ops leads to stand up teams following a new win or expanded work

-Meaningfully participates in discussions around shared best practices & consistent ways of working, carrying out implementation plans and directing more junior team members

-Ensures excellence (for self and more junior team members) in implementation of plans and consistent ways of working

-Carries out implementation plans for function innovation and evolution, directing more junior team members as directed

-Excellent listener who can quickly and accurately synthesize information and recap next steps, looping in more senior leads as needed

-Gathers, inputs and maintains data in the RM team tool, leading or supporting depending on level of size & complexity of office/capability/practice

-Builds reports and data for leadership, provides subsequent analysis and insight

-Continually seeks to better understand agency’s work, offerings & talent, guides more junior team in their education and connects employees appropriately

-Supports materials development articulating agency’s RM approach, best practices, ways of working and tools

-Runs regular staffing meetings, attended by account and PM leads; ensuring appropriate preparedness to move through agenda efficiently and with impactful results, leading or supporting depending on level of complexity

-Fluent in excel

-Supports senior leaders in the facilitation of staffing discussions, helping to arrive at objective solutions

-Can be trusted with sensitive information

-Solidifies strong relationships with colleagues and is called upon to be a problem solver, escalating highly sensitive or complex issues to function leader

Salary range: $66,300 – $80,000

What We Are Looking For: 

An external storyteller who can:

  • Lead, integrate and collaborate across a matrixed organization to tell stories that change perceptions:
    • Be part of and aligned with the company’s editorial leadership and strategy; you’ll participate in development of story angles for multiple channels.
    • Flex editorial leadership muscle; keeping an understanding of all news and programs coming the automaker’s brand comms team; and help architect storytelling upstream. 
    • Attend all editorial and bi-monthly brand meetings with brand comms leaders
  • Offer a deep understanding of what makes a story a story; storymining is critical for the role:
    • Explore angles, people, technologies and capabilities in a way that resonate with consumers
    • Feel comfortable leading meetings with engineers, designers, manufacturing, and financial comms to enrich stories with context and anecdotes
  • Reimagine video storytelling by collaborating with editorial and content leadership on vehicle reveal content, episodic possibilities, and more
    • Work directly with content leadership and EIC to devise story choreography, medium, more
  • Editorialize the product launch
    • Focus language on messaging, formatting, content optimized for AI discoverability
  • Serve as a copyeditor for materials drafted by the brand bomms teams

An internal storyteller who can:

  • Deliver smart brevity at scale
    • In today’s multi-platform, information-heavy world, employees need concise, memorable content to better advocate for this automaker

Qualifications

  • 7-9 years of writing/editing experience (public relations, internal communications, social media, etc. journalism experience preferred)

  • Experience working in the automotive industry is preferred (not mandatory)
  • Must have a portfolio (share anything that conveys the way you think or approach assignments, even if it was never produced

Salary range: $113,000.00 USD – $145,000.00 USD

Our client (major automaker) is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Senior Associate to support storytelling and media engagement across its Design Comms function. This role offers a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of design, innovation, and brand storytelling — helping to shape how the automaker’s cutting-edge design and technology come to life for internal and external audiences.

The ideal candidate is a creative communicator with strong organizational, event planning and writing skills, a passion for storytelling, and an interest in automotive design. This position requires collaboration across various teams to help facilitate site visits at the Design campus in Michigan, identify great design stories and support the company’s broader technology and innovation narrative.

Key Responsibilities

  • Visitor and Content Facilitation: Manage and facilitate requests for visits to the automaker’s design center, including senior executive visits as well as media programs – ensuring alignment with design, communications, and security protocols.
  • Content Capture Approvals: Coordinate and manage necessary approvals for photography, video, and content capture at Design facilities.

What We Are Seeking

We’re seeking a Resource Manager to join the Central Market within the growing team in our Chicago office. You will work closely with our existing resourcing team in Central and across other offices, project managers (PMs), account teams and office/practice leads to gather forward-looking staffing projections for the office and key accounts, enter the data into a centralized tool, analyze forward-looking and backward-looking data, and possess a strong grasp on details associated with overall staffing & capacity management.

 

Ideally, you’re a self-starter, a multitasker, a problem solver, and a quick thinker with a level head and excellent people skills. This important role keeps you on your toes with varying day-to-day work that is fun and challenging.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Possess an analytical mindset and firm understanding of how to synthesize and apply learnings from backward-looking financial data provided by finance
  • Demonstrate an ability to provide intel and answer high-level questions about what people are working on and where/why they have time, ensure that the perceived workload of the group aligns with the data being reported
  • Identify and flag discrepancies, demonstrate an understanding of how to efficiently address them and remove hurdles
  • Prepare for and meaningfully contribute to (and in some cases drive) weekly resourcing meetings/discussions, identifying resourcing issues, facilitating discussions and sending action-oriented recaps that keep people on task
  • Assist with talent requests, recommending possible solutions (based on a deep understanding of needs, skillsets and bandwidth) and helping to facilitate conversations that will lead to strong utilization and the offset of unnecessary hires
  • Proactivity build positive relationships with all levels of talent, account teams & project managers – act as a widely-known, helpful resource and problem solver
  • Strategically match talent with needs, taking into account: requests/staff plans provided by account teams and project managers; a strong understanding of the skillsets, work product, style, development areas and interests of the talent
  • Shadow the resourcing team as they facilitate discussions as a result of staffing decisions as needed to keep things moving to resolution

Basic Qualifications

  • Two years of related professional experience
  • Proficient in PC Microsoft Office
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Agency, recruiting and/or equivalent environment experience preferred
  • Utilize company tools to enter allocation data, track staffing trends and summarize results
  • Ability to manage a project from beginning to end
  • Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects and adapt to shifting priorities
  • A proven upbeat, enthusiastic and self-starter attitude with the ability to inspire and motivate a variety of team members
  • Possess strong sense of curiosity, solution-oriented mentality, and critical thinking skills as they will be central to general approach to day-to-day needs
