As head of employee engagement and communications, you will operate at the intersection of comms & marketing, Human Resources, Talent Aquisition and DEI. You will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing our communications strategies aimed at fostering engagement, alignment, and a strong sense of community and belonging among our employees. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute comprehensive communication plans that effectively shape and advance our culture with current and as appropriate, prospective employees. You will partner and collaborate closely with agency leadership, the global Communications and Marketing team, our regional Chief People Officers, Head of Global Talent Development, and DEI team. You will report to the Chief Growth Officer.

 

Key Responsibilities: 

Strategic Planning: 

  • Partner with internal stakeholders to develop and implement a strategic internal communications plan aligned with organizational goals and values.
  • Identify key messaging priorities and communication objectives to drive employee engagement and alignment.
  • Regularly assess the effectiveness of communication strategies and adjust tactics as needed.

Employee Engagement and Advocacy:

  • Drive programming for internal global events and productions that connect / inspire our talent base while further connecting leadership with employees.
  • Cultivate a culture of open communication, collaboration, and transparency within the organization.
  • Empower employees to become advocates for the company’s mission, values, and brand through effective communication and storytelling.

Content Marketing Strategy:

  • Create compelling, informative, and engaging content for various internal communication channels, including emails, newsletters, intranet, digital signage, and other platforms, with a strong focus on aligning with the employee lifecycle and key moments and programs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and insights for content creation. 
  •  Ensure consistency in messaging and adherence to brand guidelines across all internal communication materials.
  • Craft people, culture, DEI, values-oriented awards, narratives and stories that elevate TWSC’s reputation in the industry and attract new talent.

Channel Strategy:

  • Activate and elevate existing infrastructure/channels (CRM / global leadership newsletters, Intranet) to optimize and evolve employee comms.
  • Explore innovative communication tools and technologies to enhance internal communication effectiveness.
  • Monitor employee feedback and engagement metrics to gauge the impact of communication efforts. 

Change Management Communication:

  • Support organizational change initiatives by developing communication plans that address employee concerns, provide clarity, and drive adoption of change.
  • Work closely with leadership to cascade important updates and changes throughout the organization in a timely and transparent manner.

Requirements:

  • Experienced employee communications leader with a passion for and experience in driving employee engagement in a global organization
  • 10+ years of experience in employee engagement, internal communications or a related discipline
  • Successful record of building new programs, improving existing programming and supporting engagement for high-performing teams
  • Proven ability to develop strategic internal communication and effective employee engagement programs
  • Creative thinker who will challenge current ways of working and innovate using new channels and tactics to reach TWSC’s global team members
  • Exceptional communicator, both written and verbal, with experience across multiple communications channels
  • Excellent writing skills with ability to quickly adopt the tone and voice of a company and many senior leaders
  • Demonstrated success in building internal trust and strong relationships with business partners

 

NYC Salary Range: $175,000-$225,000

Where an employee or prospective employee is paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, actual ranges for current/former employees in the subject position; market considerations; budgetary considerations; tenure and standing with the company (applicable to current employees); as well as the employee’s/applicant’s background, pertinent experience, and qualifications.

Manager, Client Experience Digital - Healthcare

We are seeking someone who is passionate about healthcare and making a difference in the lives of patients living with various diseases and conditions. As a Manager, you will work closely with senior and junior staff members across several teams to provide counsel and manage day-to-day work, in addition to serving as a key client contact.

As a successful Manager, you will be a strong leader with excellent writing and communications skills and an ability to translate client needs into project plans. You will also help develop and implement engagement campaigns for a variety of healthcare clients, including pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and health systems. Ideally, you should have agency/consulting or related experience with a background in healthcare communications, including experience leading digital program elements.

Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Manage account team implementation of agreed-upon programs, ensuring quality standards are met and desired results are delivered on-budget
  2. Lead project management initiatives
  3. Lead development and revision of tools, ensuring all activities are moving forward and are within deadlines
  4. Leverage traditional media as well as influencers and digital/emerging technologies for PR programming
  5. Set and meet campaign measurement and evaluation criteria
  6. Identify training and development needs of junior staff and provide opportunities that enable staff members to reach their full potential

 

 What We Are Looking For

  1. Fluency and/or familiarity with digital and social media
  2. Experience working on multi-disciplinary (holistic) communication initiatives
  3. Strong understanding of the relationship between traditional public relations and the use of current online/digital technology and social media
  4. Experience with clients and accounts that are measurement and evaluation driven
  5. Strong presentation skills, poise, and professionalism
  6. Industry experience in healthcare communications and/or pharmaceuticals

 

Basic Qualifications

  1. At least 4 years’ experience in public relations at an agency or corporate in-house (healthcare experience required)
  2. BA or BS in Public Relations, Communications, or in a related field
