Vanessa Ho Nikolovski

Managing Director, Singapore and Chair of Client Services

Vanessa has 25 years of experience as a communications professional based in Hong Kong, New York and Singapore. A specialist in corporate and brand communications, she has managed the reputations of companies across a diverse range of industries and developed multi-year programs for public sector clients.

Over the past 16 years at Weber Shandwick in Singapore, Vanessa has been focused on building and driving regional client relationships, leading strategic corporate and stakeholder communications, as well as brand, advocacy and reputation management. She has helped companies prepare for and manage a wide range of issues including corporate mergers, acquisitions and restructurings, management changes, litigation support, labor and regulatory actions, product boycotts and natural disasters.

She has extensive experience in managing large multimarket programs for global clients, driving integrated multi-disciplinary campaigns, developing robust and efficient communications infrastructures and building effective agency network teams across markets in Asia Pacific, the Middle East and Africa. She has led award-winning regional programs for MasterCard (across 21 markets), built strategic communications campaigns for global brands and large conglomerates including HP, Philips, SABIC, GM, and worked with multiple industry organizations, governmental and regulatory bodies, NGOs and leading academicians in the course of her work.

Prior to this, Vanessa worked at US-based technology PR consultancy Brodeur Porter Novelli (now Brodeur Partners) as deputy head of the consumer technology practice for its New York office. She managed both internal and external communications activities nationwide for companies ranging from established Fortune 500 to pre- and post-IPO Internet start-ups.

While in Hong Kong in the 1990s, she was the team lead for international clients at Porter Novelli managingclients including the Singapore Government, Singapore Tourism Board, Hong Kong Housing Authority, the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU), and a range of luxury consumer brands—Rolls-Royce, Bentley, Ferrari, Jaguar, Häagen-Dazs, HK Seibu—and local property conglomerates.

Vanessa started her career as a journalist at The Straits Times, Singapore’s main English-language daily newspaper, and has been a freelance editor for a number of travel guidebooks.

She has a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Linguistics from the National University of Singapore.
