Vice President, Client Experience
Weber Shandwick is seeking a Vice President in our growing Corporate Practice. The ideal candidate will have experience in corporate brand and reputation building communications, managing executive visibility, media strategy and team leadership. Corporate PR experience preferred, with expertise in energy a plus. The candidate will have the opportunity to drive a broad range of corporate stakeholder programs, while leading a team of practitioners and collaborating with Weber Shandwick’s network to develop strategic and creative client work.
Primary Responsibilities:
• Build, nurture and expand client relationships, serving as a trusted resource and advisor
• Develop long-term client plans and strategic PR program recommendations for executive visibility, Corporate Responsibility and media relations programs, developing and managing budgets, generating recommendations and creating presentations
• Drive development of tactical plans, translating strategies into tactics; ensure team deliverables align with strategies
• Own responsibilities for executional leadership of multiple client programs, budgets, timeline and plans
• Proactively support and suggest improvements to exceed client expectations by leveraging industry knowledge and experience
• Manage ongoing team resourcing/staffing to ensure successful delivery of work product
• Anticipate and proactively offer solutions to senior team leadership for executional issues specific to assigned programs
• Build and own productive relationships with multiple client stakeholders, interagency teams, client’s business partner organizations and a diverse array of agency colleagues
• Represent agency points of view clearly in writing, formal presentations and informal client meetings and workshops
• Demonstrate financial acumen in the areas of budgeting, billing and staffing
Required Skills:
• 9-12 years public relations experience, corporate PR background desired
• Agency experience (preferred)
• You are both a creative and a strategic thinker, and a natural team leader
• Needs to have a track record in client service to senior level clients
• Strategic media relations knowledge
