Senior Associate, Client Experience Digital

Weber Shandwick is seeking a Senior Associate to join our consumer team in our Chicago office. This role requires an experienced proactive Digital and Social Media specialist who will support and execute core components of large-scale creative programs for one of our biggest clients. Ideal candidates will have experience executing events, social media influencer relations, content creation and strategic planning in the influencer, paid and earned media space.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:  

  • Manage the creative process for digital content from end to end, including (but not limited to) writing briefs, developing social content planners, developing/presenting responses where necessary, trafficking final creative, managing reporting development, etc.
  • Demonstrate a proactive stance with all assigned projects by offering new ideas and new ways of generating success, including identifying digital opportunities.
  • Participate in brainstorms and shares ideas / creative solutions to client briefs
  • Build strong client relationships with assigned client contacts
  • Start to develop your influencing skills to seek positive outcomes through communication with clients and influencers
  • Think more holistically, put forward ideas and suggestions that will seek to improve processes and create opportunities for the agency and its clients
  • Stay on top of social media/industry news and trends, and be able to link these to your clients’ objectives
  • Ensuring the agency’s success by aligning measurement plans to client briefs and focusing clients and internal teams on the job to be done.
  • Representing agency points of view clearly in writing, formal presentations, and informal client meetings and workshops.
  • Maintaining profitability of engagements in partnership with project management.
  • Motivating the team by bringing a positive, solutions-focused attitude to everything you do.


Basic Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's Degree; 3-5 years related professional experience
  • Thorough understanding of social media, influencer and digital marketing
  • Experience working within cross-functional teams across multiple brands

Additional Qualifications 

  • Experience developing and managing campaigns and being a day-to-day lead for clients, with an interest in the world of digital marketing
  • Be a strong communicator and possess exceptional writing skills
  • A proactive approach to identifying opportunities for the client, practice, and team
  • Attentive to detail and quality
  • Able to meet deadlines, put out fires and multi-task. Work fast and work well. Volunteer to take on new responsibilities.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering clear and precise work is a must.
  • Think proactively and provide solutions/recommendations for day-to-day tasks and account initiatives
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agency environment, often independently.
  • Speak, write, and edit succinctly and compellingly. Listen intently, carefully, and patiently.
  • Understand what value you can bring to our team and recognize where you can grow and be open to learning opportunities.
