Associate/Senior Associate, Weber Shandwick – Healthcare Practice

Job Description:

Healthcare Communications

Join Weber Shandwick’s Healthcare team, and in a dynamic and empowering environment, support clients in healthcare industries, while exploring future opportunities for the team as a whole.

We are looking for an associate/senior associate, ideally with healthcare communication experience, media relationship and content developing background.

He or she will work on multiple accounts, helping to handle core public relations tasks ranging from building media relationships, conducting industry research, to drafting press release and other media materials.

He or she will have the opportunity to ground themselves with a solid foundation in strategic planning, corporate communication, IMC and public education campaign. They should demonstrate strong communication and task management skills, show initiative and an ability to manage deadlines consistently.

Responsibility:

Media:

• Understand and have established connections to top-tier general media and healthcare vertical media, be able to identify and familiarize with key reporters and editors
• Conduct media outreach and follow-up
• Manage external vendors to meet delivery schedules and quality requirements

Writing:

• Draft pitch letters, abstracts, profiles, press kit materials and releases, social media content and executive related documents
• Proof and edit client related documents as needed

Planning and reporting:

• Accurately maintain executional tools, trackers and reporting
• Compose integrated media plans and contribute to plan development processes as needed

Qualifications

• 1-3 year working experience in PR agency
• Quick and eager to learn
• Strong English ability in both written and spoken
• Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PPT) skills
