Manager, Client Experience (Freelance)

Detroit, Michigan, United States

The innovation center for automotive engineering, design and advanced technology comes together at one global technical center. As the automotive industry is pivoting to an all-electric future, there is one main campus where engineers, designers and executives come together to redefine transportation. The campus is home to more than 22,000 employees and covers 710 acres.

We support an OEM who has their global technical center lab in North America. The campus is recognized as a National Historic Landmark which provides an interesting juxtapose between a rich history and an exciting future. The vehicle design and development, along with the people who work there, provide compelling and rich story opportunities.

We’re looking for a candidate who has three distinct skills to support this position.

  • An ability to write – whether it’s newsletters, campus-wide communications, internal communications missives, safety bulletins, or PowerPoint slides.
  • Senior executive support – such as coordinating town hall employee meetings, write and distribute leader messages to their organizations, or write remarks for employee events.
  • A strong facility for event coordination, and a well-honed ability to work with partners across the enterprise to make the event successful.

You’ll have exposure to the top levels of this OEM leadership, communications leadership and more. The ability to communicate concisely, multi-task and be known for quick responsiveness is part and parcel to this job.
