Senior Vice President, Client Experience

Weber Shandwick is seeking a Senior Vice President to join its Technology practice as a Client Experience leader.


You will be responsible for managing client and inter-agency relationships, playing a critical role in determining the future and long-term success of our Technology team. You will be responsible for significant aspects of a client relationship and account team and will supervise one big piece of an account with multiple work streams and team members.

Other responsibilities include recommending programs and activities coordinating with client's goals, effectively delegating projects, offering counsel to team members and allocating agency resources to match client budgets. You will also be engaged with business development, strategic program planning, and the development of creative concepts. Ideally, you will have agency or consulting experience in the Corporate/Consumer Communications and Tech space.

  • Management: Lead a team, serve as a client lead, develop creative and thoughtful plans, meet deadlines, put out fires and multi-task.
  • Interpersonal: Play nice, whether it’s on a team, with a team or independently. Respect and kindness still go a long way.
  • Communication: Speak, write and edit succinctly and compellingly.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic and day-to-day client relations for multiple tech clients.
  • Develop and maintain strong and consistent interpersonal relationships with senior clients and agency teams.
  • Develop campaigns, messaging and content across several different audiences and geographies.
  • Manage and execute content development.
  • Support cross-company integration on various accounts and across skillsets.
  • Project management of client work, campaign execution.
  • Work closely with agency leadership on running the business, including managing client budgets and staff capacity/allocation.
  • Develop, mentor and lead large cross-functional teams.
  • Source, lead and participate in new business efforts.
  • Aptitude for financial analysis.


  • 12+ years of experience, especially in an agency setting; preferable industries include telecom, networks, fiber optics, semiconductor, consumer software, security, antivirus.
  • Experience with business development/new business success 
  • Able to manage a mix of accounts
  • Proven track record of being a leader that has built and grown teams
  • Ability to communicate information effectively and accurately, verbally or in writing
  • An ability to contribute to a collaborative work environment
  • Can work independently and as part of a team
