Full Stack Developer

We are looking for an experienced, diligent, and passionate Full Stack Developer to join our Digital Practice in Hong Kong. The role will provide you with the opportunity to define work from conceptual ideation at the proposal stage to the implementation of your ideas when executing projects for some of the world’s leading brands.

You will join a full-service in-house team of 18 digital practitioners who will collaborate with you to transfer concepts to reality.

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with account servicing, analysts, front and back-end developers, project managers and creative team to manage the full lifecycle of project development from new website builds, revamping and maintaining existing websites to providing technical consultancy to our colleagues and clients to ensure best practice is instilled in all work
  • Devise and execute web development projects from consultancy founded in insight, identifying best in class solutions to final project delivery
  • Provide scalable solutions founded in best practice
  • Devise and execute projects with an agile team from consultancy founded in insight, identifying solutions to final project delivery
  • Conduct on SIT and UAT, and responsible for the final quality assurance and acceptability testing sign off for all development work

Requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Sciences/Information Technology or equivalent discipline
  • Minimum 3-5 years relevant work experience
  • A pro-active, trustworthy, and passionate approach to all things digital: bringing your ideas to life through explanations that engage and excite internal and external audiences
  • Create and manage tactical campaigns and programs
  • Knowledge of the full online eco-system: analytics, website builds, content and distribution strategies, social media, EDM’s, App’s etc.
  • Dedicated to the adoption of new technologies
  • Able to work independently and under tight schedules
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to detail technical work in language that resonates and enthuses people from a non-technical background
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is essential, Cantonese and Mandarin is ideal

Technical skillset:

  • Full stack web development
  • Proficiency in PHP, HTML5, AJAX, CSS3, JavaScript (ES module), MySQL, cross-browser optimization
  • Proficiency in SASS/LESS for CSS build
  • Knowledge in at least one front-end JavaScript framework (e.g., React or Vue.js)
  • Familiar in modular and/or MVC programming
  • Experience in RESTful API
  • Experience working in Agile Development Methodologies and frameworks such as SCRUM
  • Experience in popular content management systems (ex. WordPress) and plugin development
  • Proficiency understanding about good UI/UX for responsive web application development
  • Working experience with advertising tools such as Meta pixel and Google analytics
  • Familiar in CI/CD and/or DevOps
  • Understanding of code versioning tools, such as git
  • Experience in headless development is a plus
  • Other PHP frameworks experience (ex. Codeigniter, Laravel) is a plus
