CultureTap Academy Fellows
New York, New York, United States
The CultureTap team is seeking curious nerds that can turn cultural moments into creative opportunities for brands. The team looks for both planned (Mother’s Day) and unplanned (Short King Spring, anyone?) moments that we know people and the media will talk about, and finds a creative way into those moments. This approach has led to some of the agency’s most award-winning and celebrated work.
Weber Shandwick’s CultureTap and Media Genius teams, both deeply focused on culture – across media, tech and beyond – are collaborating on a first-of-its-kind student program: The CultureTap Academy. You’ll be identifying – and ideating around – interesting news stories, pop culture moments, new trends, and content traveling across the interwebs. As part, you’ll support new and existing CultureTap and Media Genius programming.
What would you be working on?
Fellows will write, research, and synthesize information for projects and group discussions. You dig into the good stuff — from memes to live streams to Reddit threads to niche low-code platforms and beyond. This research will take you into emerging online communities and how they grow.
What’s in it for you?
Beyond the opportunity to flex your creative (and strategic) muscle, strengthen your resume and network, you’ll contribute to Weber Shandwick’s intel. And did we mention it’s paid?
