Media Genius Fellowship
New York, New York, United States
Can you imagine what next-gen social platforms might look like? How future news sources will evolve? How new communities form? If so, we want you.
Be part of an intensive student experience working with our Media Genius team.
Participants will dive deep into the new media — encompassing everything from new platforms and emerging content formats to meme culture — and implications for all of us as citizens and communicators.
In this full-time program, you’ll work both independently and as part of a broader fellowship cohort that is as passionate about innovations in media and technology as you are.
What would you be working on?
Fellows will write, research, and synthesize information for projects and group discussions. You dig into the good stuff — from memes to live streams to Reddit threads to niche low-code platforms and beyond. This research will take you into emerging online communities and how they grow.
What’s in it for you?
Beyond the opportunity to flex your creative (and strategic) muscle, strengthen your resume and network, you’ll contribute to Media Genius intel. Maybe even get a byline in our newsletter. And did we mention it’s paid?
Rising juniors, rising seniors, 2021 graduates, graduate students, or equivalent are welcome to apply.
This opportunity is fully remote and candidates from all over are encouraged to apply.
