Q&As

How long have you worked at Weber Shandwick?

I started twenty-five years ago for a company that was eventually acquired by what would become Weber Shandwick. I was the on-site PR manager for the New Jersey Division of Travel and Tourism. Really, New Jersey Tourism. There’s a lot to do and see!

In five words or less, how would you describe your Weber Shandwick colleagues?

The reason I am here.

What’s the best thing you’ve ever seen happen inside the Weber Shandwick offices?

People from diverse backgrounds collaborating to create something great. Team members who had a rocky first chapter finding their groove and go on to soar. Colleagues supporting each other – in big and small ways – through hard times. Honestly, it’s a great place and I’m reminded of that often.

If you weren’t working in this industry, what would you want to do?

Be a novelist or a screenwriter.

What’s the best piece of career advice you’ve ever gotten?

Lead through the work. It’s one of the many things I’ve learned – and continue to learn – from our CEO, Gail.

Who is someone that inspires you right now?

My kids. At 16, my daughter is a force with fierce determination, unwavering conviction and vast interests. At 11, my son is already learning to go deep, get lost and find joys in his passions.

What’s your favorite way to unwind in your free time?

Just spending time with family … which usually involves watching my kids play sports.

What is your most-used app on your phone?

GPS. I have zero sense of direction. Zero. The prevalence of the GPS has changed my life.
