Weber Shandwick Welcomes Prime
On May 6th, Weber Shandwick was proud to announce its acquisition of Prime, a leading creative PR firm in Europe. Known for its innovative and breakthrough work, Prime is the world’s number one Cannes Lions-winning PR firm since 2010 and is recognized globally as a digital and creative powerhouse. Based in Stockholm, Prime is Sweden’s largest PR agency and joins the Weber Shandwick global network along with its business intelligence unit United Minds.
The Wall Street Journal highlighted Prime’s strong local business and high-quality, creative talent in making this a “compelling” deal, according to Weber Shandwick’s CEO Andy Polansky. He added, “We’ve made a very aggressive push in the last few years to transform our business as we’ve seen the marketing landscape continue to evolve.”
The Holmes Report underscored the creative and global benefits of the new partnership to each agency. “As part of the Weber Shandwick network, we now get the opportunity to create innovative concepts and activation programs in a broader global context for clients,” said Prime’s founder Carl Fredrik Sammeli.
