Campaign US Honors Weber Shandwick North America President Joy Farber Kolo with 2021 Female Frontier Award
Weber Shandwick North America President Joy Farber Kolo was celebrated as a 2021 Female Frontier honoree in a virtual ceremony held by Campaign US yesterday. The annual awards program recognizes progressive, boundary-pushing female leaders across advertising, media, marketing and communications.
Honored in the “Leading the Charge: PR” category, Farber Kolo is recognized for her steadfast leadership during an extraordinary year, supporting and leveraging Weber Shandwick’s talent network to deliver critical and powerful solutions for the firm’s clients and communities across the region.
“Joy’s relentless optimism, passion for solving problems and strong leadership truly delivered for our clients and our people in the past year,” said Gail Heimann, president and CEO, Weber Shandwick. “The many challenges of 2020 only proved what has always been true about Joy: she’s an innovator with fortitude, no matter the circumstance. She’s a champion for solutions, and for those who create them – and that’s what it takes to truly lead the charge.”
Prior to her current role, Farber Kolo was president of Weber Shandwick’s East region, with offices in New York, Boston and Atlanta. Previously she was general manager of the New York office, the agency’s headquarters. A 25-year veteran of the firm, she has been a key force behind much of the firm’s recognized work and industry accolades, which most recently include Campaign US PR Agency of the Year, PRWeek US Large Agency of the Year and PRovoke North America Agency of the Decade.
