Account Director, Weber Advisory
Weber Shandwick, West
At Weber Shandwick, we are operating at the intersection of business, media, policy, technology and culture — helping organizations navigate an increasingly complex stakeholder environment where reputation is shaped everywhere, all at once.
As part of Weber Advisory, our work goes beyond traditional communications. We help clients anticipate risk, shape narratives, engage stakeholders and build the trust that drives enterprise value. We combine strategic communications, cultural intelligence, issues expertise, digital influence and AI-enabled insights to help leaders and organizations move with confidence in moments that matter most.
Weber Shandwick is seeking a curious, strategic and collaborative Account Director to join our West region. This role sits within Weber Advisory’s Corporate practice and will focus on helping corporate, advocacy and public sector clients navigate the evolving intersection of business, policy, society and culture.
The ideal candidate understands that communications today is no longer just about visibility — it is about shaping influence, relevance and stakeholder trust. They bring direct experience developing executive positioning platforms and visibility strategies for senior business leaders, helping executives define differentiated points of view, build authority in the market and engage audiences across earned, owned and emerging channels.
Candidates should have a strong understanding of today’s fragmented media ecosystem — from top-tier business press and broadcast to newsletters, podcasts, LinkedIn, creators and emerging digital platforms — and know how to translate business priorities, cultural insights and executive narratives into meaningful reputation outcomes. Experience counseling executives on thought leadership, platform development, narrative strategy and high-profile visibility moments is strongly preferred.
This position will be based in either our Los Angeles, San Francisco or Seattle offices.

- Monitor and synthesize developments across media, policy, technology, culture and business to identify risks and opportunities for clients
- Leverage proprietary AI platforms to continuously analyze and assess the evolving client landscape to anticipate future needs
- Translate insights into proactive communications strategies that strengthen reputation and organizational relevance
