Svetlana is Executive Vice President, Global and Chair, Global Olympics and Sports Industry Affairs. In her role, she drives the company’s global strategic vision and creative delivery for the sport and Olympic industries sectors, focused on the offering, business development, client engagement and services. With some 20 years’ experience in the delivery of complex global campaigns across five continents, Svetlana serves as strategic communications advisor directing corporate, brand development and engagement programmes and issues campaigns for brands, countries, institutions and personalities.
For the last 15 years, Svetlana has led Weber Shandwick’s award-wining, global Olympic team establishing the agency as a leading Olympic communications expert. She has led teams on some of the most fascinating global campaigns including six Olympic bids such as Sochi 2014, Tokyo 2020 and Beijing 2022. She also directed the global campaign for the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee, Russia’s first Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games, advising on all aspects of strategic communications internationally 2007-2014. Under her leadership, these campaigns have won an array of industry awards including an EMEA SABRE, a Global PRWeek honour, an IPRA Golden World Award and a Golden China International PR Award.
Svetlana is passionate about the ever-changing global communications environment, with its impact on reputation, engagement and the way we consume news. In addition to advising Weber Shandwick’s key global clients she is also focused on sharing knowledge and experience with the younger generation.
Svetlana speaks five languages fluently and lives in Paris.
