Susan Howe is Chief Collaboration Officer, charged with driving dynamic teams across regions, practice areas and specialties across the firm’s global network. She is responsible for facilitating integration on key client assignments globally, in addition to enhancing collaboration between disciplines across the organization.
Formerly President, Global Consumer Marketing, Howe is a consummate strategist and leader of some of Weber Shandwick’s most significant client engagements. In her years at Weber Shandwick, she has helped build a powerful consumer marketing network, having led high-profile engagements for Unilever, Anheuser-Busch and Nestle brands, among many others. She has driven several innovative workplace initiatives focused on employee development and retention, and is consistently praised for her fusion of high-level vision and on-the-ground operational strength.
She previously held operational responsibilities for the Chicago, St. Louis, Detroit and Atlanta operations. Over the years, she helped build the Chicago office into a consumer powerhouse. Under her leadership, the Chicago office was recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business and Chicago Magazine as a top workplace, the only public relations firm in Chicago to be featured on both lists.
Prior to joining Weber Shandwick in 1996, Howe worked on the consumer teams at Hill and Knowlton and Edelman Worldwide.
Howe earned a bachelor’s degree from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism. She serves on the executive committee of Northwestern’s Council of 100, dedicated to the advancement of female graduates. She and her husband live in Chicago, within walking distance of Wrigley Field and their beloved Chicago Cubs.
