Paul is president of Powell Tate, a leading public affairs and strategic communications firm in Washington, D.C., and a unit of Weber Shandwick. He also leads the award-winning Social Impact practice, a global team at Weber Shandwick that works with clients to shape communications strategies and creative campaigns focused on purpose and social issues.
He counsels corporate clients on how to seize the opportunity to demonstrate purposeful leadership – focused on sustainable growth and social impact – and guides foundations and nonprofits to build break-through communications on social issues spanning global development, global health, social justice, education and sustainability.
Paul has advised clients including Nike, Verizon, Unilever, Bank of America, Abbott, and the LEGO Foundation, The MasterCard Foundation and W.K. Kellogg Foundation. Paul previously led the agency’s work with Pepsi on its signature Pepsi Refresh Project. He has been a featured speaker at events including Fast Company Innovation Festival, BSR, World Business Council on Sustainable Development and Mega Brazil Congress. He writes for Purpose Decoded on Medium. Paul received his Ed.M. from Harvard University and his B.A. from Rutgers University.
