Jill Murphy is chief business development officer for Weber Shandwick. She is responsible for leading initiatives to help build the Weber Shandwick brand and develop new and existing client relationships. Jill is also focused on driving client development efforts with the vast IPG and McCann-Erickson WorldGroup companies.
In her former position as executive vice president, account services, Jill was responsible for building qualified client service teams to bring the best resources to clients. She focused on developing and introducing new approaches and products to company professionals to enhance their ability to deliver quality client service across all Weber Shandwick offices.
Five years prior, she was responsible for coordinating global business opportunities, supporting overseas clients in the U.S. and helping U.S. clients access Weber Shandwick’s public relations services in markets around the world.
Jill joined Weber Shandwick in January 1990. Formerly an account supervisor with Rand Public Relations, a Shandwick Company, she specialized in consumer and healthcare marketing. Jill developed and implemented national public relations programs for clients including Kraft General Foods, Oscar Mayer, Tambrands, Smartfood, The Culinary Institute of America and Lexis Pharmaceuticals.
Jill received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from Ohio Wesleyan University.
