Jennifer Sosin joined Weber Shandwick (then BSMG) in 1998, first leading the public affairs research practice, and then leading KRC Research as its President. Today, she is Chair of Global Strategy & Insights. In this role, she is responsible for elevating the effective use of strategic planning, research, and data analytics across Weber Shandwick. She also continues to provide counsel to clients, particularly in the areas of messaging, research design, and the translation of research findings to strategic direction, and she plays a major role in new business development for Weber Shandwick.

While Ms. Sosin’s work has spanned many communications challenges around the globe, she has particular expertise in corporate affairs, public affairs and public education, working with clients who must communicate about complex issues, instigate behavior change, position their brands, build reputations, or manage controversies. Her work often focuses on strategic message development, and she is skilled in designing iterative mixes of research and workshops to build consensus around what ideas to prioritize in communications, and to whom. While based in Washington, Ms. Sosin’s work is global. She has long experience in designing both research and messaging that crosses borders, and she divides her time between Washington and global travel, including frequent visits to London, where she has lived.

With a personal passion for the intersection of communications and science, Ms. Sosin brings especially deep experience in healthcare, food, and agriculture. She also maintains a strong focus on work with non-profit and government organizations, particularly on issues concerning global development and U.S. domestic healthcare. Long-time clients include PhRMA, the trade association representing the American pharmaceutical industry (and many of its member companies); CropLife International, as well as individual agriscience and agribusiness companies; the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid; and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, as well as several global intergovernmental organizations.

To all her work, Ms. Sosin brings the skills and perspective of political campaigns. Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Ms. Sosin was a principal in a leading U.S. political polling firm. Her clients included candidates for every level of state and federal office, as well as a wide range of non-profits, associations, foundations, labor unions, and advocacy organizations. She managed political campaigns, trained political candidates and their staffs, served as a field director for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee, and was part of the presidential polling teams in the 1988 and 1992 presidential elections.

Ms. Sosin has a B.A. from Carleton College and an M.A. in political science from Yale University.
