Hitoshi Shioya started his career in public relations at International PR (former corporation of current Weber Shandwick) managing social community welfare programs and opinion leader relations for wide variety of clients such as banks, house manufacturers, and utilities. His career follows with accumulation of experiences in consumer practice like tourism industry where he took role in enhancing brand image of oversea tour sites as well as imported automobile industry providing counsel and stategies for Brand Communications.
His broad and deep capabilities as a consulting expert goes beyond as he promotes as a manager where he nurtured management skills from supervision experiences in Technology/Service Communications, Reputation Management at global companies (manufacturers, food, distribution), and Internal Communication. His works of correspondence in Issue/Crisis Management Communication include information leakage, recall, administrative penalties, internal scandals, financial window dressing, and labor issues alongside creating manuals and planning/execution of crisis management/media training.
He was promoted from Executive Vice President to Country Representative of Japan in November 2011.
Graduated from Hosei University, he likes to go on hiking at his spare time.
