Hitoshi Shioya started his career in public relations at International PR (Former Corporation of current Weber Shandwick) managing social community welfare programs and opinion leader relations for an array of clients such as banks, house manufacturers, and utilities. His career follows with an accumulation of experience in the consumer practice such as the tourism industry where he took on the role of enhancing the brand image of an overseas tour site as well as in the imported automobile industry providing counsel and strategies for Brand Communications.
His broad and deep capabilities as a consulting expert are deeply rooted through his experience in Technology/Service Communications, Reputation Management at global companies (manufacturers, food, distribution), and Internal Communications. In addition, his extensive experience in Crisis & Issue Management spans across information leakage, recall, administrative penalties, internal scandals, financial window dressing, and labor issues alongside creating manuals and planning/execution of crisis management/media training.
He was promoted from Executive Vice President to Country Representative of Japan in November 2011.
Graduated from Hosei University, he likes to go hiking in his spare time.
