Chuck Fitzgibbon, general manager of Weber Shandwick’s Baltimore office, has developed and implemented international, national and regional branding and public relations programs that have been recognized with numerous marketing and communications awards during his more than 30-year career.
His work spans public relations, corporate communications, integrated marketing, corporate brand management, media relations, crisis management, community relations, issues management, employee communications, and merger and acquisition consultation. He provides presentation, media and crisis training to corporate, association and institutional clients.
Fitzgibbon has served clients in industries including energy, healthcare, technology, industrial/manufacturing, education, financial services, economic development and professional services. His clients have included Maryland Aviation Administration/BWI Airport, Baltimore Gas & Electric Co. (BGE), CH2M, Constellation, Maryland Health Benefit Exchange, Ameren Missouri, Electric Power Research Institute, Honeywell, Cristal Global, American Heart Association, W.L. Gore, College Savings Plans of Maryland, Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, and the University of Maryland Medical System.
Fitzgibbon is a member of Weber Shandwick’s Energy, Corporate and Global Healthcare practices. An accredited member of the Public Relations Society of America, he is past president of the Maryland chapter. He served as Chairman of the American Heart Association’s national communications committee and on the association’s national Board of Directors.
He graduated summa cum laude with a degree in mass communication from Towson University. He was honored with the PRSA Maryland Chapter’s “Lifetime Achievement Award,” and previously was named one of the region’s “40 Under 40” business leaders by the Baltimore Business Journal.
