Weber Shandwick’s Engagement Index Honored at 2015 In2 SABRE Awards
The Holmes Report honored Weber Shandwick and the innovative work the firm produced for clients in 2014 at the publication’s annual In2 SABRE Awards on February 18th in San Francisco. The awards, part of the In2 Innovation Summit, recognize impressive digital content as well as the use of data and analytics in communications campaigns.
Weber Shandwick won in the “Measurement for Post-Campaign Analysis” category for the firm’s utilization of the Engagement Index across various client programs. The Engagement Index is Weber Shandwick’s proprietary research-based diagnostic and tracking tool that integrates traditional earned, owned and social media metrics to help analyze how companies are engaging with their audiences online. The Engagement Index is used by a variety of Weber Shandwick clients and practice groups to help create more nuanced communications strategies and increase the impact of their messaging and engagement tactics.
Weber Shandwick and client Honey Maid also took home a win in the “Analytics For Campaign Planning, Audience Insights Or Influencer Targeting” category for their partnership around the “This is Wholesome” campaign.
To round out the night, Weber Shandwick won in the “Sponsorships” category for its creative work on the Barbie Sports Illustrated campaign for Mattel. To celebrate capable and captivating women, Weber Shandwick and Mattel embarked on a campaign to spark a discussion about women and beauty that would be disruptive and empowering. The strategy centered on a sponsorship of Sports Illustrated’s 50th Anniversary Swimsuit Edition, which celebrated SI cover models, who similar to Barbie, were introduced to the world in a swimsuit but went on to have successful and multifaceted careers. The program elements included in book presence, a doll at Target, out of home advertising and social conversation driven by #unapologetic.
