Weber Shandwick Named 2014 Large Agency of the Year by The Holmes Report
NEW YORK, April 28, 2014 – Weber Shandwick, one of the world’s leading global public relations firms, has been named 2014 Large Agency of the Year for the Americas by The Holmes Report. In awarding the firm this honor, The Holmes Report highlighted Weber Shandwick’s “healthy double-digit growth cementing the firm’s position as a market leader” as well as the firm’s outperformance of industry peers both globally and in North America.
Agencies of the Year are selected by The Holmes Report’s editorial staff and based on the publication’s Agency Report Card process, which seeks input from more than 100 agencies across the U.S. and the Americas and evaluates growth, new business performance and creative work as well as feedback from peers, clients and industry observers.
The Holmes Report also pointed to Weber Shandwick’s new business wins across industry sectors as well as its “impressive creative work” and its “increasingly impressive digital and social capabilities across the full range of paid, earned and owned media” through Mediaco, the firm’s brand publishing unit that provides an end-to-end solution helping brands become full-scale media networks.
“It’s an honor to be recognized in this fashion by one of the industry’s leading authorities,” said Weber Shandwick CEO Andy Polansky. “We have a highly collaborative team around the world that is reimagining what it is to be a successful public relations firm in the fast-changing communications and marketing world. And we are quite fortunate to work with great client partners across industry sectors.”
The Large Agency of the Year award will be presented at The Holmes Report’s annual SABRE Awards dinner on May 6th in New York City where Weber Shandwick is a finalist for 24 additional SABRE Awards.
The Holmes Report Large Agency of the Year award comes on the heels of several industry honors Weber Shandwick has earned in 2013 and 2014, including being the only PR firm named to the 2014 Advertising Age Agency A-List as well as winning The Holmes Report In2 SABRE Award for Most Innovative Agency – Digital/Integrated for Mediaco. In 2013, Weber Shandwick was named PRWeek’s International Consultancy of the Year.
