Adam Wall Named General Manager Weber Shandwick’s Toronto Office

TORONTO, December 5, 2012 - Weber Shandwick has announced today the promotion of Adam Wall to the position of general manager of the agency’s Toronto office. In his expanded role, Wall will be responsible for all operations of the Toronto office and will formalize his leadership of Weber Shandwick Canada’s National Client Leader group.

A key member of Weber Shandwick senior management team in Canada, Wall also will continue to lead the national Brand Engagement practice and build on his ongoing work developing the firm’s offer to clients in the areas of digital and content development.  He will also focus on the wider integration of the Canadian operation within Weber Shandwick’s North American Digital network.  Wall will report directly to Weber Shandwick Canada President Greg Power.

“In his six years with the agency Adam has established himself as a trusted advisor to some of the biggest brands in Canada and an innovative thinker who has contributed to enriching our offer to the market,” said Power.  “Adam’s strong track record building long-term client success and his thoughtful leadership of people make this appointment a very natural next step for him at Weber Shandwick.”

“Our strategic blueprint reflects the efforts of a very collaborative management team and a clear vision for continuing the agency’s momentum in the Canadian marketplace,” Wall said. “I’m extremely proud to work with such a talented group of professionals and honored in this new role.”

Prior to joining Weber Shandwick, Wall worked at PraxisPR where he managed public relations for Nike Canada’s hockey and basketball portfolios and led the Pepsi-QTG account team.  He began his career at Veritas Communications and was part of a team that won Marketing Magazine’s Integrated Marketing Campaign of the Year (2003) for Nike Canada’s Run T.O.  Wall has led the development and execution of numerous sponsorship and athlete activation programs across, and has provided senior counsel and onsite support to clients at each of the past three Olympic Games (2008, 2010 and 2012).

Wall graduated with honors from York University and holds a bachelor of arts in psychology with a minor in business communications. He is a past winner of the Governor General’s Medallion for Academic Excellence.
