WHAT DO YOU DO AT WEBER SHANDWICK?
I have the opportunity to wear a couple of different hats at Weber Shandwick. Part of my time is dedicated to the Corporate Affairs team, helping to lead government-focused grassroots programs that encourage national participation. The other part of my time is spent focused on consumer clients. Given my diverse client base, a few of my colleagues have said that H stands for “Hybrid,” a name I’m happy to have!

WHY WEBER SHANDWICK?
Why not Weber Shandwick? We are the largest PR firm on the planet, we have a local-to-global footprint, meaning we get to work on large clients on local and global levels. We have offices filled with the best and brightest in the industry. It’s sort of the “Dream Team” of agencies: Great offices, great clients and great people to work with.

HOW ARE YOU AN ADVOCATE?
By being engaged in issues that matter to me professionally and personally. I try to have a good base of knowledge as a starting point and then grow that base by listening to new ideas and perspectives. I’m passionate, energetic and full of opinions when it comes to issues, clients and people that matter to me. Most who know me will say I’m an advocate for a wide range of things -- the city of Chicago, inner-city education and my favorite sports teams.

WHAT DOES ADVOCACY MEAN TO YOU?
Advocacy is really a collision of passion and enthusiasm, combined with a strategic understanding of the issue. I strongly feel that it’s this combination that can truly bring about change. The great thing is that this change is not just limited to what we do with our clients, but rather, it can encompass all aspects of our society.
