As CEO, Continental European Operations, Rolf Olsen is accountable for all Weber Shandwick subsidiaries on the European continent, as well as all partners and affiliates in Europe, Middle East and Africa. As Vice-Chairman for the overall Weber Shandwick operations in Europe, he is also involved in overseeing the international client relationships and growth activities. He spends most of his time working on client programs, and has particular involvement with large international clients such as MasterCard, BenQ and Nespresso, as well as major Norwegian-based internationals such as Statoil, Yara and Telenor. He specializes in profile development, complex change projects, executive coaching, crisis management and roll-out of strategic international communications programs.
Rolf joined Weber Shandwick in July 2001 from Motorola EMEA where he was vice president of corporate marketing, communications and public affairs. Rolf has 25 years of experience in marketing, communications, public relations and publishing.
He began his career as a PR officer in the Norwegian Parliament and held leadership roles in newspapers, private ventures and NGO's before joining Digital Equipment Corporation in 1984. At Digital, he managed marketing communications, corporate identity, brand programs and corporate communications at local, regional and global levels.
