Ian is a seasoned corporate and business-to-business practitioner. He has worked in London and Sydney, where he ran Weber Shandwick's Australian operation for 4 years, providing counsel to a broad range of clients across multiple industry groups.
In 2006 he was appointed Executive Vice President, Client Strategy, Asia Pacific, leading the growth and development of the firm's largest global clients in the region.
He has extensive experience in reputation and issues management, crisis communications and brand development.
Ian's career in communications began in 1994 when he worked on behalf of the UK's polymer industry, advancing the sector's position as a proactive and responsible corporate citizen. He switched to agency 4 years later.
Ian spent 3 years as a commissioned officer in the Royal Navy and the Fleet Air Arm where he trained as a navigator and pilot respectively. He was educated at Framlingham College and London University.
Ian is based in Sydney where he lives with his wife and two young sons.
