Baxter Jolly is managing director of Weber Shandwick, Singapore.

Prior to Weber Shandwick, Baxter was the managing director of GolinHarris in Singapore, an Interpublic Group sister company. As managing director of Weber Shandwick, Baxter has overall responsibility for the business operations of the agency, client servicing, employee welfare and new business development.

Before working at GolinHarris, Baxter was executive director of a boutique PR agency in Japan. In that capacity, Baxter provided counsel to a number of multinational clients based in Tokyo and Osaka. From 1999 to 2002 Baxter led the corporate, travel and financial practice at a leading international PR agency in Hong Kong. He began his consultancy career as a senior consultant with Ludgate Asia (renamed Weber Shandwick) in Hong Kong in 1998.

Some of the clients he has worked with include, Air Asia, Bristol Myers Squibb, Charles Schwab, DHL, Disney International, DoCoMo AOL, Emerson Electric, Emirates Airline, GlaxoSmithKline, the Hong Kong Futures Exchange, the Jardine Matheson Group, MasterCard, Mandarin Oriental, Mercer, Microsoft Mobile and Embedded Devices Division, OCBC, PCCW, PIXAR, Prada, Porsche, Procter & Gamble, Rolls-Royce, Royal Philips Semiconductors, SC Johnson, Schering, Shimano, Sony Ericsson, Temasek Holdings, Valuair, Wellcome, Wynn Resorts and ZESPRI New Zealand Kiwifruit. During his tenure with the agencies in Hong Kong and Tokyo, both were awarded the “Consultancy of the Year” by PRWeek magazine, the industry’s leading publication. Before entering the communications industry, Baxter led the trading team for a Malaysian equity house in Hong Kong.

Baxter holds a bachelor’s degree in politics and history with joint honours from Queens Mary’s College and the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London and a diploma in law from Wolverhampton University in the United Kingdom. A Malaysian national, Baxter speaks fluent Bahasa Malaysia.
