Excerpt: I knew that when I found myself explaining Twitter to my 92 year-old grandfather at Thanksgiving this year that social media is, truly, a topic that everyone, regardless of age, industry or profession, wants to get a handle on. It was also nice validation that, although his enthusiasm as one of the 54 percent of Americans who read a daily newspaper will never waver, my grandfather is very curious about the latest ways that people are connecting, sharing information and building and strengthening relationships.
