A select group of top PR professionals from across the country gathered for Weber Shandwick’s First Annual VOICEBOXX™ Executive Roundtable on "The Changing Face of Communications in Today’s Attention Economy." Moderated by Geoff Colvin of Fortune, the panel was comprised of Weber Shandwick Chairman Jack Leslie; Edward Walters, U.S. Army; Amy Fuller, MasterCard Worldwide; Jack Bergen, Siemens Corporation; and Judi Mackey, Lazard.
The panel discussion addressed the key issues and challenges impacting marketing and communications strategies in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape. Some topic highlights included the rise of Web 2.0, media consolidation and rise of "Content Masters", metrics for measuring ROI, need for building brand advocacy, experimental marketing and best practices for engaging today's consumers. The 75 member audience was comprised of a variety of communications leaders from a wide range of industries, including executives from Dannon Company, IHG, Milk Processor Education Program, Osram Sylvania, Citi Cards, Museum of Modern Art and MAC Cosmetics. Several key conference organizers from Chief Executives’ Club of Boston, Economist, Financial Times and Fortune were also in attendance along with key industry and national press reporters from the
