CHICAGO, Feb. 14, 2012 – Weber Shandwick today announced leading creative expert Jim Paul has joined the firm as executive creative director. Paul has nearly two decades of experience and joins from Leo Burnett/Arc Worldwide, where he served as creative director and vice president.
At Weber Shandwick, Paul will be responsible for designing innovative, multi-platform campaigns for the firm’s global client base, advising on brand’s creative approaches and providing guidance to clients as they develop creative strategies. He will be based in the firm’s Chicago office, a consumer marketing hub, and focus on building breakthrough campaigns for the key food, consumer technology, personal care and packaged goods clients.
Paul joins Weber Shandwick’s growing creative/planning team, which includes Chief Creative Officer Josh Rose, formerly of Deutsch Los Angeles, Josh Gilbert, head of strategy, and Peter Gay, creative director for healthcare. The firm is aggressively building a strong bench of diverse creative talent across North America to continue to deliver big ideas and breakthrough campaigns across all media.
As Creative Director at Leo Burnett/Arc Worldwide, Paul was the creative lead across multiple agency partners and disciplines for the Whirlpool Corp. account, launching Maytag’s first non-repairman-centric campaign, “What’s Inside Matters.” Throughout his career, he has delivered award-winning ideas and worked with iconic brands including Blackberry, Coca-Cola, Children’s Memorial Hospital, Capitol One, Gatorade, LPGA, Tostitos, and Tropicana, among others.
